STEM Night at Sunnyside Middle School was a hit! We had a blast teaming up with the FTC team to give demonstrations of our robots and teach local kids about circuits. Kids were given the opportunity to do some hands on building, drive the FTC robots and see the FRC robot in action. Below are some photos from the evening.
Fall Fun for Everyone!
The Fall party was last Saturday and despite the rain and cold, we had a great time. The party provided an opportunity for members of both the FRC and FTC robotics teams to bond over games, pumpkin carving, and more. Below you can find a gallery with pictures from the day. Thanks to all who came out and made the day a success!
This past Saturday we participated in the !B3 off season competition with 16 other area teams. See some of the competition highlights below!
Don’t worry, you read that right! We are competing at !B3 Saturday October 16th at the Tippecanoe County Fairgrounds. We will have an opportunity to field our robot that we built for the 2020 season. Due to Covid-19, competitions for the 2020 game Infinite Recharge were put on hold, so we are all very excited to see our robot on the field.
Unfortunately, Covid-19 precautions are still in place and so attendance is limited. But if you would still like to see our robot compete you can watch online here.

10/16/21 Non-B3 Competition
An off season competition will be taking place on Saturday, October 16th at the Tippecanoe County Fairgrounds. Unfortunately this competition will not be open to any spectators, but this will allow us a great opportunity to practice and network with other teams. The event will be all day.

Team 1646 is currently preparing for the 2022 build season! We currently have weekly meetings to help students who are new to the team learn what robotics is about. If you are interested in volunteering as a mentor for the team, contact us here.
Not interested in being a team Mentor? FIRST Robotics has plenty of opportunities to volunteer, through the FIRST Robotics Challenge, the FIRST Tech Challenge, and the FIRST Lego League. Click here to learn how you can volunteer for FIRST Robotics.
Team 1646 is always looking for new team members! To join the team a student should be a High school aged student who is interested in learning about presentation skills, leadership, teamwork, and of course, designing, programming, and building a robot! No previous experience is required. We are currently meeting on Wednesday afternoons from 6-9 pm at Jefferson High School at door number 6. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to learn about how you can join the team!
