Tippecanoe District Event 2022

This weekend we competed at the Tippecanoe District Event here in Lafayette, IN. We had a great time competing with all of the amazing teams that came out. In the end, we were ranked #22 out of 39 teams but did not make it into the playoffs. But check out some of our favorite pictures from the weekend below!

Bronchos Have Heart

On Wednesday our team lead a demonstration of simple circuits during the Bronchos Have Heart Family Night, alongside our FTC and FLL teams. This was a great opportunity to show off some of the cool things our students can accomplish and get more kids interested in STEM and FIRST.

Rapid React Ready

As winter break approaches, many students are ready to relax and take it easy. But FIRST FRC students are busy as ever as they prepare themselves for the upcoming build season. Kickoff is quickly approaching and the countdown is on!

FRC Kickoff

For those who may not know, Kickoff is the name for the live stream event where FIRST announces the game for the year, and it is the start of our 6 week build season. For 6 weeks, our team will come together to design, build, and program a robot to compete in the game that is announced during Kickoff. Can’t wait? Neither can we! Below you can check out some of the teasers that FIRST released for the 2022 game – Rapid React!

Sunnyside STEM Night

STEM Night at Sunnyside Middle School was a hit! We had a blast teaming up with the FTC team to give demonstrations of our robots and teach local kids about circuits. Kids were given the opportunity to do some hands on building, drive the FTC robots and see the FRC robot in action. Below are some photos from the evening.

Pictures from the Fall Party

Fall Fun for Everyone!

The Fall party was last Saturday and despite the rain and cold, we had a great time. The party provided an opportunity for members of both the FRC and FTC robotics teams to bond over games, pumpkin carving, and more. Below you can find a gallery with pictures from the day. Thanks to all who came out and made the day a success!

!B3 Highlights

This past Saturday we participated in the !B3 off season competition with 16 other area teams. See some of the competition highlights below!

See us at !B3

Don’t worry, you read that right! We are competing at !B3 Saturday October 16th at the Tippecanoe County Fairgrounds. We will have an opportunity to field our robot that we built for the 2020 season. Due to Covid-19, competitions for the 2020 game Infinite Recharge were put on hold, so we are all very excited to see our robot on the field.

Unfortunately, Covid-19 precautions are still in place and so attendance is limited. But if you would still like to see our robot compete you can watch online here.
