The mechanical subteam uses the 3D designs made by the CAD subteam to fabricate the parts and build the robot. They prototype all the designs for the robot. Mechanical assists the team in a variety of ways outside of building and prototyping the robot. They help us at outreach events. They also give their knowledge and experience to younger members and answer other members’ questions about the robot. The mechanical team serves as the backbone of the robotics team, without them robots and their parts would not even work !
